Walkaround reports are research aids. They are not pre-purchase inspections, mechanical evaluations, appraisals, or any form of professional advice. Read this page in full before you act on a report.
A Walkaround report is a written synthesis of information from public sources — government registries (FAA, Transport Canada), public accident databases (NTSB, TSB Canada), Airworthiness Directive (AD) publications, manufacturer service bulletins where publicly available, and aircraft listings — combined with curated type-specific reference knowledge and assembled with the help of large language models. The report is intended to help you have a better conversation with the seller, focus the work of a licensed mechanic, and decide whether to invest the time and money in a physical pre-purchase inspection.

We work hard to reduce these failures, but we cannot eliminate them. Treat every factual claim in a report as a hypothesis to verify in the logbooks and during the prebuy inspection — not as established fact.

We do not warrant that the report is free of errors or omissions, that it reflects the current state of any aircraft, or that any specific outcome will result from acting on it.
Walkaround and its operator will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense arising out of or related to your reliance on a report, including without limitation the cost of an aircraft, repairs, lost flying time, diminished value, insurance issues, or any indirect or consequential damages. Our overall liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
Some information presented in a report originates from third parties (for example, listing sites, government registries, and accident databases). We do not control and do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of that information. Links or references to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.
Walkaround is not affiliated with the FAA, Transport Canada, the NTSB, the TSB, AOPA, COPA, or any aircraft manufacturer, dealer, broker, escrow service, insurance provider, or financing provider. We do not receive referral fees, commissions, or revenue from any transaction you complete with a seller, broker, mechanic, or financier.
