How and why we use cookies.
Effective date: 2026-06-07
A cookie is a small piece of text stored by your browser when you visit a website. This Cookie Policy explains the cookies Walkaround uses and why.
Walkaround sets one essential cookie, walkaround_session, when you sign in. It contains a randomly generated token that lets our servers recognise you on subsequent requests so you don’t have to sign in again on every page.
Without this cookie our sign-in feature does not work. You will not be offered a way to disable it; if you disable it through your browser, you simply will not be able to access signed-in features (you can still browse the public pages).
Walkaround does not set:
If we ever start using non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy, ask for your consent on first use, and provide a clear way to opt out.
When you go through Stripe Checkout to purchase a report or subscription, you leave walkaround.report and interact with Stripe’s domain. Stripe may set its own cookies on that domain to operate the checkout flow and for fraud prevention. We do not control those cookies; see Stripe’s privacy notice for details.
Some parts of the Service may use your browser’s local storage for small UI conveniences (for example, remembering whether you’ve recently asked us to resend a verification email so we can show a cooldown). These values stay on your device and are not sent to our servers.
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Doing so for the essential session cookie will sign you out and prevent you from using signed-in features until you sign in again.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “effective date” at the top reflects the current version. If we introduce non-essential cookies we will ask for your consent before setting them.
Questions can be sent to support@walkaround.report. For broader privacy questions see our Privacy Policy.
